The Flash #118 (1961)

In The Flash #118 from 1961, we see the speedy superhero using his powers to help out on a movie set in Hollywood. Reporter Iris West interviews the Flash and invites her boyfriend, police forensics scientist Barry Allen, to come to Hollywood. Little did she know, Allen is actually the Flash himself. The Flash races back and forth to ensure that Allen isn't late for his date with West. Meanwhile, on the movie set, the Flash takes Steve Palmer's place in the film after several attempts on Palmer's life. The Flash discovers that Palmer has been rigging his own "accidents" in hopes of cashing in on the Flash's name through endorsements. Palmer even tries to ambush the Flash, but the superhero uses his powers to escape and take down Palmer and his men. In a separate story within the same issue, the Flash's sidekick Kid Flash helps his friend earn a place in a high school fraternity by chasing after some crooks who disguised themselves as ghosts.
