Later, Flash Thompson sees Peter talking to Liz and attacks him, but Peter manages to knock him out. When Peter finally catches up with Betty, he learns that she has been asked to marry Ned Leeds. This news angers Peter, and he storms off without giving Betty a chance to explain herself.
Towards the end of the story, we see Spiderman finally catching up to the cat burglar, but he manages to escape and falls into the hands of the police, making J. Jonah Jameson a very happy man.
