The Amazing Spider-Man #27 (1965)

In The Amazing Spider-Man #27, the Green Goblin crashes a mob boss meeting and captures Spider-Man, who is then used as a bargaining chip to become the new leader of the gangs in New York. Our friendly neighborhood Spider-Man manages to break free with the help of the police and chases after the Goblin and the Crime-Master. Back at Frederick Foswell's apartment, Spidey finds a secret compartment which he suspects belongs to the Green Goblin or the Crime-Master.

Later, when the Crime-Master plots to take out Foswell and Jameson, the police arrive and a shootout takes place which ultimately leads to the death of the Crime-Master. Foswell reveals that he was instrumental in the Crime-Master's capture and Spider-Man feels foolish for accusing him.

After selling his photos to another newspaper and spending time with Aunt May, Spider-Man discovers Foswell's true identity. Meanwhile, the Green Goblin is still fuming over Spider-Man's interference and vows to seek revenge. Don't miss this exciting issue of The Amazing Spider-Man!
