Things get complicated when the Human Torch agrees to refrain from using his powers for 24 hours to please his girlfriend, resulting in a twisted love triangle between Peter Parker, Betty Brant, and Doris Evans. As fate would have it, Spider-Man stumbles upon the Beetle outside of Doris' house and a brawl ensues. When things get out of hand and Doris is kidnapped, Spider-Man embarks on a mission to rescue her, but is mistaken by the Human Torch as the culprit. The two superheroes battle it out before realizing their mistake and teaming up to capture the Beetle and save Doris Evans. This historic issue is a must-read for any fan of superhero comics!
