The Amazing Spider-Man #17 (1964)

High Value: $5,500

Minimum Value: $66

In this classic issue of The Amazing Spider-Man, Peter Parker is back in school, daydreaming about the whereabouts of the Green Goblin, when the villain himself is busy perfecting his skills using a Spider-Man dummy. Meanwhile, Flash Thompson is preparing to launch a fan club for the web-slinger. After school, Peter hits the town as Spider-Man and unknowingly interrupts a movie shoot, thinking that the actors are actually criminals. This makes J. Jonah Jameson's day, of course. Later, Peter finds out about the fan club, which Spidey is expected to attend. But so is the Green Goblin, who shows up looking for trouble. When the two heroes go at it, the crowd thinks it's just a show - that is, until the Human Torch gets involved. In the end, Aunt May's heart attack trumps heroics and Spider-Man takes off, leaving the crowd to wonder if he's really a coward.
