Tales to Astonish #35 (1962)

Tales to Astonish #35 (1962) welcomes back Ant-Man and his Pym Particles, as he takes his battle to a whole new level. This three-part story, titled 'Return Of The Ant-Man'; 'An Army of Ants!'; 'The Ant-Man's Revenge!', follows Doctor Henry Pym, a brilliant scientist who has developed two serums. The first serum is designed to reduce living beings and the second serum is designed to restore them to their normal size.

After being reduced to the size of an ant thanks to the reducing serum, Pym encounters an ant hill, but manages to escape by using his enlarging serum and returning to his normal size. Despite intending to destroy the serums, Pym creates them again. He also invents a special helmet which helps him communicate with ants, leading to a government assignment that requires Pym to create a unique gas formula.

However, enemy spies find out about the formula and try to steal it from Pym. Pym then uses his shrinking serum and helmet to get help from the ants, leading to exciting stories such as 'Strange Encounter', 'The Doorway to Nowhere!' and 'The Thing From Outer Space!'.
