Tales of Suspense #43 (1963)

Tales of Suspense issue #43 features an intriguing story entitled "Kala, Queen Of The Netherworld!" Stark, the protagonist, is kidnapped and taken underground where an ancient civilization known as the Netherworld reside. The queen, Kala, is determined to conquer the world above, but lacks the means to do so. She subsequently captures Stark and demands that he develops a way to reach the surface. Otherwise, she threatens to kill him and the other captives. You can imagine Stark's plan to escape is both complex and fascinating, as he creates a model of his Iron Man armour and he manages to fight off all of Kala's defences.
