In Superman #4 (1940), it's Superman versus Luthor in a battle for the ages! When the Army begins testing a new earthquake-causing weapon, Clark Kent starts investigating. But little does he know that Lex Luthor is hot on the trail of securing the weapon's plans, one way or the other. As a result, the once-peaceful city of Metropolis is laid to ruin by a terrible earthquake. Superman rushes in to help the victims, but soon discovers that Luthor also knows about the device and is planning to steal it. Will Superman be able to stop Luthor in his tracks?
