Superboy #1 (1949)

In Superboy #1, we get a glimpse into the life of Clark Kent as he rushes a wounded police officer to the hospital. Along the way, he runs into a nurse he remembers from his school days and we are transported back in time to when a fortune teller predicted that he would become world-famous while also predicting the nurse's disappearance on her 21st birthday. Meanwhile, Clark's classmates indulge in some destructive behavior in "The Boy Vandals" and inadvertently stumble upon a group of crooks. But don't worry, Superboy is there to teach them a lesson! The issue also includes a humorous strip called "Daffy & Doodle" and a text story called "The Language of the Sea." What's more, we also get to enjoy "Superboy Meets Mighty Boy" as a young farm boy is transformed into the strongest boy in the world and challenges Superboy to a battle of strength. If you're a fan of classic Golden Age comics, Superboy #1 is an absolute must-read.
