In Showcase #31 (1961), we witness the epic adventure of Aquaman and Aqualad as they face off against John Cook who has stolen Professor Richards' experimental ray gun. This gun has the ability to transform normal sea creatures into massive beasts from one billion years ago! But don't worry, our beloved heroes have a plan to revert them back to their normal state.

The Professor's genius invention allows him to both devolve and evolve these creatures while keeping them under control. However, John Cook has other plans and uses the gun against Aquaman, forcing him and Aqualad to battle fierce prehistoric and futuristic forms of aquatic life.
