This comic book, Sensation Comics #9 (1942), is one of the most exciting issues of the series. Wonder Woman once again proves to be a formidable hero as she defeats villain Dr. Cue and saves the real Diana Prince. Diana and Steve Trevor are having dinner at a restaurant when a strange man barges in and claims that Diana is his wife. Things escalate until Steve has had enough and punches the man. It turns out that Diana is being mistaken for the real Diana, from whom Wonder Woman bought her secret identity. Back home, Dan White, who was going to marry the real Diana, confronts her regarding her having dinner with another man. Diana White and Dan are having financial struggles, and she eventually wants to go back to work as a nurse. When Wonder Woman arrives at work, she finds Diana White in her chair and agrees to let her reclaim her identity. Meanwhile, Dan White has chained up Wonder Woman and plans to sell his anti-aircraft disintegrator shell idea to the military. Wonder Woman, as Diana Prince, pretends to be his wife and agrees to test the invention; she gets Dan to give her some fake plans for the invention. She takes these plans to Agent X, who takes her to see Dr. Cue, who has taken Diana White hostage. Dr. Cue threatens to inoculate Diana White with a disease if Wonder Woman doesn't surrender the real plans for Dan White's invention. Wonder Woman gives over the fake plans, and Dr. Cue releases a gas to knock her out. Wonder Woman pretends to be unconscious and is put in a furnace, from which she emerges unscathed. She then defeats the doctors who are working with Dr. Cue and saves Diana White from a plane that is about to crash due to Dan's invention. In the end, Dan successfully sells his invention, and Diana can keep her secret identity as she no longer needs to work. Sensation Comics #9 is an adventure-filled issue that showcases the bravery of Wonder Woman, who always helps those in need.
