Sensation Comics #6 (1942)

In Sensation Comics #6, Wonder Woman is gifted her iconic golden lasso from her mother and takes on the Baroness Paula Von Gunther once again. Steve Trevor is promoted to major while General Darnell goes on a top-secret mission to London. Steve takes over and retains his secretary, Lila Brown, which means Diana Prince has two weeks off. Just before she leaves, Diana discovers that Baroness Paula Von Gunther has escaped the police, worrying that Steve could be in danger. Diana receives a message from her mother, Queen Hippolyta, via her Mental Radio. She then uses her Invisible Plane to return to Paradise Island as Wonder Woman. There, she discovers that her Amazon sisters are competing in a lassoing contest, which she won. Her mother instructs her craftswomen to form a rope that can compel anyone that she lassos with it to obey her. When she returns to Man's World, she learns that Baroness Von Gunther has become Lady Chumpley and is behind the disappearance of Colonel Darnell's ship. Wonder Woman and Steve set out in her Invisible Plane, find the ship, and stop the Baroness and the German Commander.
