Plastic Man #8 (1947)

In Plastic Man #8, we see the incredible invention of police scientist Dr. Ray. His heat generating gun is capable of giving any living creature the power to emit intense heat. But, as with any new invention, there are bound to be unforeseen consequences. Dr. Ray comes across the notorious gangster, Hot Rod, and decides to use the gun on him. Unfortunately, the gun's reaction to gunpowder causes Hot Rod to burst into flames! But this isn't the only plotline in this issue. We also see our beloved sidekick, Woozy, try his hand at a new job as a symphony triangle player. It's certainly an unexpected twist to the story that adds to the whimsy and humor of Plastic Man's world. If you're a fan of the zany world of Plastic Man, this issue is a must-read!
