Mystery in Space #61 (1960)

In Mystery in Space #61, our hero Adam Strange finds himself in a bit of a pickle when he intercepts the next Zeta-Beam and ends up on the wrong planet. Instead of being transported to his beloved Rann, he ends up on the doomed planet Xalthor. Yikes!

But things get even crazier when he meets Ulthoon, an ominous being who reveals that Xalthor is set to explode in just a matter of hours! Oh, and he also wants to trap Adam there so he can take over Rann. Double yikes!

But wait, there's more! Not only is Adam dealing with a potential intergalactic takeover, but he also encounters the Tornado Tyrant (who will later become the sentient spirit of Red Tornado), making for one wild ride of a comic book.
