Justice League of America #6 (1961)

High Value: $3,000

Minimum Value: $36

In Justice League of America #6 (1961), the Justice League faces a new threat in the form of Amos Fortune's "Wheel of Misfortune". As each member of the JLA encounters seemingly random bad luck, they begin to suspect that something sinister is afoot. With the help of their teammates, they split up into teams to investigate two separate cases: one involving lost treasure and the other involving impossible crimes at a museum. Along the way, they discover that Fortune has been using a scientific invention called the Stimoluck to control their luck. Even when Fortune captures the team and straps them to his Wheel of Misfortune, they manage to break free and bring him to justice. The issue is notable for omitting both Superman and Batman, allowing lesser-known heroes to shine.
