Justice League of America #23 (1963)

In Justice League of America #23, the Queen Bee tries to blackmail the JLA by having them secure the elements she needs for an immortality potion. Strange robberies by flying Bee-Men occur in three cities, and the JLA splits into three teams to handle the robberies. However, each team faces unique obstacles and the Bee-Men suddenly disappear before they can be apprehended. The Queen Bee then tasks the JLA with recovering the elixir of immortality for her from the planet Somalar. Again, the JLA splits into teams to search for the components of the elixir. Each team faces unique obstacles, but ultimately they succeed in collecting the elixir. However, before turning over the elixir to the Queen Bee, J'onn J'onzz, the Manhunter From Mars, welded the vials shut with his martian vision and the Green Lantern coated the vials with an indestructible aura to ensure the Queen Bee's quest for immortality was thwarted. The Justice League of America resumes their celebration of Snapper Carr's birthday feeling relieved that their mission was a success.
