Green Lantern #30 (1948)

Green Lantern #30, published in 1948, may not have been the most significant issue for the titular hero, but it introduced a character that would become well-loved by fans. Streak the Wonder Dog, a German Shepherd inspired by the famous Rin Tin Tin, made his debut in a story written by Robert Kanigher and illustrated by Alex Toth. Streak was so popular that he even upstaged Green Lantern on the cover, depositing a bone at a local bank while the hero looked on in amusement.
