Doom Patrol #86 takes us on an action-packed adventure with our favorite team of superheroes. The Doom Patrol is celebrating The Chief's birthday when the Brotherhood of Evil decides to cause chaos by stealing the Statue of Liberty! Morden, a sneaky villain, steals a robot designed for lunar exploration and causes destruction in an attempt to attract The Doom Patrol's attention. When they arrive, Morden puts up a good fight and forces The Doom Patrol to retreat. Impressed by Morden's skills, The Brotherhood of Evil invites him to join their team. Morden is sent with Monsieur Mallah to try and steal the statue, however, The Doom Patrol is already on top of it. They defeat Morden and Mallah, but the villains manage to plant a bomb at the statue's base. Elasti-Girl is quick to act and destroys the bomb, but The Brotherhood of Evil uses this distraction to escape.
