Minimum Value: $45

In Detective Comics #235, Bruce Wayne uncovers a shocking revelation about his father's past. While reading his father's diary, Bruce learns about a masquerade ball where his father donned a bat-themed costume and later saved the life of a wounded bank robber from hoodlums. The same bank robber, Lou Moxon, would later threaten Thomas Wayne's life and, Bruce suspects, hired Joe Chill to carry out his plan. Batman and Robin follow Moxon, but their confrontation takes a surprising turn when Batman wears his father's old "bat-man" costume. Moxon seems to recognize the outfit and screams that Batman is dead, claiming he had Joe Chill kill him. Moxon's sudden fear leads to his tragic demise when he runs into traffic and is struck by a truck.
