Detective Comics #204 is a classic and thrilling comic book that features the Dynamic Duo, Batman and Robin, as they take on Odo Neval, a notorious crook who claims to be immortal. In "The Man Who Could Live Forever," Neval offers the criminal underworld his immortality elixir that he claims can make anyone invulnerable to harm. After proving that the formula works through a series of daring criminal activities, the crime lords of Gotham begin a crime wave to raise money to purchase the elixir.
But things are not as they seem, as Batman discovers that the formula is fake just before the crooks knock him out. When Robin bursts in and drinks the elixir, thinking himself invulnerable, he pursues the crooks alone. Batman recovers and races to reach Robin to inform him that the formula did not make him immortal. Together, they expose Neval and capture him in the process.
This iconic comic book also features other exciting stories such as "The Stars Spell Doom" with Roy Raymond TV Detective, "The Passenger Who Never Went Ashore" with Captain Compass, and "The 3-D Crimes" with Mysto, the Magician Detective.
