Daredevil #5 (1964)

In Daredevil #5, a new criminal is causing chaos in town - the Matador. This villain is using his cape to distract security vans and execute robberies. After seeking him out, Daredevil engages in a brief confrontation with the Matador. Soon after, Matt Murdock takes Karen Page to a masked ball, where he identifies the Matador's heartbeat amidst the crowded party. Murdock realizes that the Matador is trying to rob a wall safe and raises the alarm before changing into his Daredevil costume.

During the ensuing fight, the Matador manages to escape due to the noisy party and competing distractions. To add to Matt's woes, his closest friend Foggy reveals that he intends to propose to Karen. Unable to deal with his feelings for Karen and Foggy's plans, Matt starts investigating and discovers that Manuel Eloganto, a famous bullfighter, disappeared earlier that year. Convinced that Eloganto is the Matador, Murdock announces that he believes that the Matador is Daredevil in a press conference.

Although Foggy is upset with Matt's statement, Matt knows that Eloganto will visit their law firm's office to confront him. Once he does, Daredevil is waiting for him and finally manages to take him down by headbutting him in the belly like a bull to a toreador.
