Batman #59 (1950) introduces one of Gotham’s deadliest assassins, Deadshot, in his very first appearance. This comic book also features a new hero in town, Deadshot, who has set his sights on becoming the prime crime fighter of Gotham City. He has trained intensively in marksmanship, with the main goal of upstaging Batman. However, when Batman and Robin are out of town, Deadshot secretly debuts as a new crime fighter. Batman eventually discovers that Deadshot is planning to take over the crime world, and they engage in a dangerous battle. The stakes are high as Deadshot tells Batman that he will intentionally miss so that he can "accidentally" take down Batman.
