Batman #56 from 1949 is a true classic that showcases the Caped Crusader at his finest. The story starts off with Batman preventing an assassination attempt on a visiting South American president. After his heroic actions, he is asked to train a new batman for the president's country. This takes our hero on a wild ride as he travels abroad and tests numerous candidates before finally finding someone worthy of his skills. But things take a turn for the worse when they discover that the batman they trained is actually working for the very criminals they were supposed to fight.

But that's not all! In "The Riddle of the Seven Birds," we see the Penguin testifying against a fellow con to get a reduced sentence. When the criminal dies on the same day he's released, he leaves the Penguin a fortune in bonds if he can commit crimes using seven birds that spell out his name. As Batman tries to stop him, he also uncovers a web of deceit and treachery that keeps us on the edge of our seats until the very last panel.

That's just a taste of what this incredible issue has to offer! From Little Pete to Casey the Cop, it's action, humor, and excitement from cover to cover. If you're a comic collector looking for a classic Batman story, then this is one issue you definitely don't want to miss!
