Batman #27, published back in 1945 and written by the legendary Bill Finger and drawn by landscape master for comics - Bob Kane - features Gotham's dark knight tackling one of his arch-nemeses, The Penguin. The issue is chock-full of exciting stories, including The Penguin's Apprentice, where the dastardly villain tries to make a new protégé and fails miserably. In Voyage Into Villainy, Penguin attempts a hijacking, but as expected, Batman stands in the way. The Pearl Of Peril features a rare pearl that ends up in the hands of Penguin, but his boasting might prove to be his downfall. Lastly, A Christmas Peril sets the holiday season in full force, but Gotham's crooks are not singing any carols.
