Archie Comics #26, published in 1947, takes us to Riverdale High where the most dangerous day in school history has arrived - Patch Day! In "The Patch Hop" story, girls are chasing after handsome young men in hopes of catching them and sewing a patch onto their pants. Once branded with the patch, the boy must take his seamstress to the dance. Male students are hiding and ducking, trying not to get caught. In this issue, we also get to follow the story of Jughead's capture and Archie's attempt to avoid his biggest fan, Esmerelda. The comic book includes other stories such as "The Play's the Thing", "The Vanishing Act", and "There Oughta Be a Law".
