Archie's Pal Jughead #79 (1961)

Archie's Pal Jughead #79, published in 1961, tells the story of how the Riverdale girls form the United Girls Against Jughead group to try and change Jughead's girl-hating ways. The events that follow include "A Hopeless Case," where Gwen tries to get Jughead's attention at a party. Later, Jughead is chosen to be the judge for the Riverdale High School Beauty Contest in "Tell It to the Judge." One of the most exciting parts of the comic is "Quiz Quazy," where Jughead is accepted as a contestant on the TV quiz show "Ask the Experts" with his category being food. All of his friends chip in to buy stock in him to pay the carfare and hotel bill in the hopes of getting their money back out of his winnings. Finally, "Thinking Ahead," a one-page Li'l Jinx story, and "Space Joker," where Archie jokes that Martians could already be on Earth, disguised as humans, only to find out that Jughead is already one of them. This comic book is an excellent addition to any collection and is sure to provide hours of entertainment for fans of the classic Archie comics.
