All-Star Comics #50, published in 1949, is a gripping tale of superheroism, cunning, and bravery. The Justice Society of America is being celebrated at a Midwestern college, but Flash, unfortunately, has to miss the event. When Jay Garrick attended the school ten years earlier, a professor asked his students to predict their future, and now they're meeting to see how accurate their predictions were. Turnbull, one of the students, refuses to read what he wrote and throws his paper in the fire, declaring it foolish. However, curiosity compels Flash and the JSA to find out what was written.

What they discover is that Turnbull predicted he would become a villain named Mr. Alpha and commit five perfect crimes using the science he learned. Checking his hotel room, they find four travel brochures, but they soon realize that Mr. Alpha has already committed his first crime. In each case, the JSA members are left to die, but someone saves them. Turnbull ends up being the hero who saves them, while his college roommate who suggested what he wrote as a joke is actually Mr. Alpha. The heroes quickly apprehend Mr. Alpha and bring him to justice.

Overall, All-Star Comics #50 is a thrilling story of heroism and bravery. It demonstrates the JSA's dedication to protecting the world from all kinds of evil.
