High Value: $4,500

Minimum Value: $54

In the pages of All-Star Comics #47, you'll find a thrilling story about the infamous western outlaw, Billy the Kid. The J.S.A. springs into action when a man claiming to be Billy robs a charity event. They investigate, and their only lead is a professor who was institutionalized for claiming he encountered Billy himself. They track down the professor, who tells his story of being abducted and taken to an old west town, an hour away from his home. Billy always stole gold, so they split into teams to cover all possible areas of attack.

The action heats up in part two, with Black Canary and Hawkman heading to a metal refinery to stop Billy from taking a gold shipment on a bus, but it ends in failure. Next, Flash, Wonder Woman, and Dr. Mid-Nite try to protect a gold payment coming in on a plane. Sadly, they too fail to capture the elusive outlaw.

Part three finds Billy decoding a treasure map leading to a lost gold mine. But, it turns into a trap by Green Lantern and The Atom, with Billy's men getting arrested, but the Kid escapes yet again. The J.S.A. decides that they need to find the old west town mentioned by the professor, but he is gone. A note leads them to an abandoned arena, where they find a fake old west town. Billy steps out, orders them to surrender, and threatens to kill the professor.

The team follows orders and is bound to a stagecoach, headed towards certain death. Luckily, Green Lantern saves them by guiding the coach where he wants it to go while giving it a team of horses. The team frees themselves and captures Billy, who is actually a supposedly dead rodeo star.
