Action Comics #84 (1945)

Action Comics #84 is a thrilling adventure featuring the iconic superhero, Superman. In this issue, Superman saves a young boy named Tommy Allen from getting hit by a car. Tommy then tells Superman about a robbery at a jewelry store and Superman, being the hero that he is, rounds up most of the thieves. However, one thief gets away and finds Tommy's report about the robbery. Believing it to be an official FBI report, the thief kidnaps Tommy and takes him to his boss, Dapper, who pretends to be an FBI agent. Dapper plans to kill Tommy to dispose of a witness, but Superman saves the day by foiling the murder plan and catching the rest of the gang. The story ends happily, with Tommy's true story being recognized by the school principal, and Superman's heroics once again saving the day.
