Action Comics #72 (1944)

In Action Comics #72, Superman takes on a new role as a heavy-lifter when he helps out the owners of Super Movers against a rival trying to take over the business. As always, Superman is quick to spring into action when danger strikes, even when he's on the job with Lois. When a large dryer almost falls on bystanders during a job, Clark switches into Superman just in time to save the day. But when Lois realizes the accident wasn't accidental, Superman discovers that a German spy is working for Mr Squiggle, a crooked businessman trying to take over Super Movers. Squiggle tries to sabotage more jobs and even attempts to divert Superman to a fake emergency to execute a bank robbery. But, Superman is always one step ahead and manages to capture Squiggle and his crooks, preserving justice in Metropolis once again.
