Action Comics #63 (1943)

Action Comics #63 (1943), featuring When Stars Collide (Superman), is a thrilling story that starts with Superman suffering from amnesia after being exposed to radiation emitted by two distant stars that are about to collide. This forces Clark to forget that he is Superman, and he falls into the hands of a gang of criminals. Professor Praline, the leader of the gang, convinces Clark to be part of their gang. Meanwhile, Superman's girlfriend, Lois, is trying to find him. As she investigates, astronomers discover that a giant meteor from the stellar collision is heading towards Earth. As Superman breaks into Fort Blox, where US gold reserves are kept, to rob the place with Praline and his gang, he sees the meteor. A buried sense of duty surfaces, and he knows he must stop the meteor. As he flies head-on into the meteor, his memory is restored, and he remembers that he is Superman. However, he has no memories of his time with the gang. Lois gets a scoop on the story as Superman saves the day.
