Action Comics #125 (1948)

In Action Comics #125, the Daily Planet receives a visit from an old man who claims to be a new Nostradamus. He predicts that a giant meteor will strike Metropolis that day, and Superman swoops in just in time to save the day. The man then makes another prediction that night would become day and, once again, a giant fire breaks out in the city. This time, however, a crook manages to catch Superman changing into his alter ego, Clark Kent. Meanwhile, Luthor is behind the attacks on Metropolis, using a giant cannon to create chaos and confusion. His next plan is to get Nostradamus to predict a massive earthquake to evacuate the city so he can rob it. But with Superman on the case, Luthor's plans are foiled and Clark Kent's true identity is kept safe.
