Action Comics #110 (1947) features a story that's not exactly the strongest in the Action Comics bookshelf. In this book, we meet Susie, Lois's troublemaker niece, who's up to her usual antics as Lois takes her to a performance of Mother Goose's nursery rhymes at Thimble's department store. While Susie goes in search of a drink, she finds herself in the wings of the stage, where she spots Mother Goose bending over. Mischievous Susie takes aim at Mother Goose's ample rear end with her slingshot, only to find out that Mother Goose is, in fact, the gangster Monk Malone! The situation quickly turns dangerous when Malone pulls out his gun and shoots at Susie. Fortunately, Clark, aka Superman, who had become concerned about Susie's absence, spots her in trouble with his x-ray vision and saves her just in time. Meanwhile, the cast reveals their true identities and starts a robbery. Superman steps up and takes care of the gang, making the world a safer place, as always.
