Adventure Comics #300 (1962)

In Adventure Comics #300, readers are taken on a journey to a strange planet alongside Clark Kent and Lana Lang, thanks to a mishap by Professor Potter. But that's not all, as this issue also marks the debut of the Legion of Super-Heroes in this series. Saturn Girl, Cosmic Boy, Lightning Lad, and Sun Boy are in trouble with their powers, and they call on Superboy to help them out. They soon find themselves under attack by a mysterious masked villain, leading them to request further assistance from Mon-El, who is still trapped in the Phantom Zone. With Mon-El's help, the Legion realizes that a man in a lead mask calling himself Urthlo is behind their troubles, claiming responsibility for their powers being uncontrollable. As it turns out, Urthlo is actually a robot with the face of none other than Lex Luthor - built by Luthor in an attempt to destroy the Legion by using a super-power nullifier. Saturn Girl is able to cure Mon-El of his lead poisoning, allowing him to defeat the robot and save the day. Adventure Comics #300 is a must-read for fans of Superman and the Legion of Super-Heroes, and a valuable addition to any comic book collection.
